Whitening/Bleaching

We offer a safe, inexpensive solution to an unsightly smile. Whitening your teeth is a very simple procedure that can be completed in relatively short period of time.
Procedure
The first step in the whitening process is to make some molds of your teeth. We will take full arch impressions of your upper and lower teeth. These impressions will be used to fabricate soft flexible custom bleaching trays. As the trays are made in our office, it usually takes less than 24 hours to produce the custom trays for our patients. The trays will fit onto your teeth perfectly so there is a small possibility of gum irritation from the bleaching solution.
The second step is to place the bleaching gel into the trays and wear them for as little as 30 minutes to a few hours a day. We offer Opalesence Bleaching Gels in a range of concentrations from 20% to 35%. These solutions contain fluoride to minimize any post bleaching sensitivity. Within 7-14 days, you will see a significant improvement in the color of your teeth. Your smile will look brighter and younger. We will take your shade of your teeth before you start and after you have finished so that you will be able to compare the amazing transformation.
Bleaching only works on natural teeth and may not be effective in all cases. Existing crowns and tooth colored fillings will not bleach. If you considering a cosmetic makeover we would suggest you consider bleaching as the first step to your new dazzling smile. We will inform you as to the potential whitening for your specific situation. Most patients will purchase additional tubes of the bleaching gel and keep them in the refrigerator for touch-ups throughout the year.
